SHAH ALAM, SEPT 24 — The Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah graced the Selangor Creative Economy Expo 2025 (SCEE25) at the MBSA Convention Centre today.

His Highness also presented prizes to 10 finalists of CTE8Fund, a programme providing funding opportunities totalling RM80,000 for start-up companies.

Tengku Amir, accompanied by state executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi, toured the art booths and mingled with industry players.

Meanwhile, in his address, Najwan said that SCEE25 is part of the Selangor Creative Economy Action Plan 2025-2035, which will be launched in November.

“The expo's organisation is a strategic step to drive the creative economy forward. Even though the programme took place on a working day, we have received an encouraging response.

“InsyaAllah (God willing), this programme will continue in the future and will be further improved with more participation and activities,” he said.

SCEE25 serves as a platform to elevate Selangor as a regional creative hub, targeting a gross domestic product (GDP) of RM20 million by this year.

Held for two days, the programme, co-organised with the Selangor Youth Community (SAY), highlights six key drivers covering talent development, market access, and financing.

Also emphasised under the theme 'Re:Imagine Selangor – Creativity is the New Economy' are infrastructure readiness, digital empowerment, and strong governance.

State executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi speaks to the press during the Selangor Creative Economy Expo 2025 at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Centre in Section 14, Shah Alam, on September 24, 2025.
