Aneka Walk drives creative economy as futuristic tourist destination

SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — Aneka Walk, developed by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and KRU Entertainment, is set to be a model for tourism development projects across Malaysia.

KRU Entertainment group chief executive officer Dato’ Norman Abdul Halim said the initiative will make Shah Alam a tourism destination, with a holistic approach based on immersive technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

“Aneka Walk provides ample space for youth to enter the entrepreneurship field and creates various job opportunities.

“This location is also emerging as a creative hub that caters to the interests of various groups so it remains relevant, attractive, and inclusive,” Norman said on Media Selangor’s Borak Kaypoh programme last night.

He is optimistic that the project would draw local and foreign tourists through interactive digital content, captivating art performances, and community-based activities that are globally competitive.

Previously, PKNS Signature Project director Azilah Arasad@Arshad said Aneka Walk, which is being developed in Seksyen 14 here, can host 3,000 visitors and 150 business lots for traders of various sectors including food, fashion, craft, and music.

Conceptualised as a modern community hub, the project is expected to be unveiled this month and stimulate the local economy.
