KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 — The police are seeking the public's help in locating the family of a teenage boy, believed to be autistic, who was found in a motorcycle lane on the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas) last night.
Serdang police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad said a motorcyclist using the route discovered the boy sitting alone at KM43.2 towards Kuala Lumpur. The boy is believed to be Chinese and estimated to be 14 years old.
"He has a light brown complexion, and was wearing a short-sleeved blue shirt and blue jeans. He was not carrying any form of identification," he said in a statement today.
Farid added that the teenager has been placed in the temporary care of the Social Welfare Department.
The police are urging any family members, next of kin, or members of the public who recognise the boy to contact the Puchong Jaya police station at 03-8075 2222.
