GOMBAK, Sept 10 — Selangor FC has entered into a strategic collaboration with Al-Kauthar Eduqids Sdn Bhd for the second season to empower children through football and education.
The signing ceremony took place at AKE Resort and Training Camp today, with Selangor FC chief executive officer (CEO) Johan Kamal Hamidon representing the club and Datuk Bakthiar Aliff representing Al-Kauthar Eduqids as its CEO.
The Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah graciously witnessed the event.
At the same ceremony, His Highness, who is also Selangor FC's chairman, signed a plaque to officiate the AKE Resort Training Camp in Gombak, which will serve as a centre for training, talent development, and facilities to support the holistic growth of children.
Al-Kauthar Eduqids said the partnership with the Red Giants continues following the success of the Little Giants programme last season, which introduced football to children as young as five while instilling sportsmanship, discipline, and enjoyment in every activity carried out.
“This collaboration reflects the commitment of both parties to nurture young people who are capable of achieving their ambitions, while leaving behind a meaningful legacy for future generations,” it said in a statement.
Al-Kauthar Eduqids added that the Little Giants programme has the potential to produce the nation’s future leaders through early exposure and by fostering positive values in a football environment.
“Both parties also aim to engage with children in the community, expand youth programmes, and create opportunities that connect sports, education, and personal development,” it said.
