SHAH ALAM, Sept 7 — The investigation papers into the case of a Form Three student who fell from a dormitory building at a secondary school in Sabak Bernam have been referred to the state public prosecutor.
Confirming the matter, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar was quoted by Berita Harian as saying that the police have completed their investigation and are now awaiting further instructions from the relevant authorities.
“The investigation papers have been submitted to the state director of public prosecutions for review and further advice,” he said, but stopped short of providing further details into the police findings.
Previously, Shazeli had said that the police had recorded statements from more than 12 individuals, including students, teachers, and wardens, and obtained several key leads to help determine the cause of the incident.
He said the investigation also involved examining the scene and reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage around the dormitory.
On August 24, a male student was reported in critical condition after falling from the third floor of a secondary school dormitory in Sabak Bernam.
The 15-year-old victim is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Sungai Buloh Hospital (HSB), with his condition reported to be improving and showing positive responses.
