SUBANG JAYA, Aug 10 — Media Selangor has been named Best Media Platform at the Tourism Industry Awards 2025 (TIA), held at Sunway Resort Hotel here last night.
Organised by the Malaysia International Tourism Development Association with cooperation from Tourism Selangor, the award was presented by Deputy State Secretary (Development) Dato’ Johari Anuar.
Media Selangor corporate services cluster chief Mohd Zulkifli Ismail said the award is a significant recognition of the agency’s role not only in communicating information on state policies, but also promoting Selangor tourism activities.
“Coverage cross print, electronic and digital media makes for more effective information distribution not just to Selangoreans but also beyond,” he said.

The ceremony was graced by Deputy Economy Minister Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, and state executive councillor for local government and tourism Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, all of whom presented some of the 117 awards last night.

“These awards are proof that their contributions are appreciated and are part of Selangor’s progress narrative,” Amirudin added.
