SHAH ALAM, July 31 — The Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI Foundation donated RM78,000 to reward 14 high achievers in the fields of sports, education and empowerment.
Foundation chief Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the donation proved its commitment to helping and encouraging the younger generation to continue to excel and bring glory to the state.
"In the context of sports development, the name MBI is no stranger to those who need financial support because the state government has never missed giving encouragement and assistance to those who have the potential to succeed.
"The series of contributions we have made previously has opened the eyes of many parties to apply, and MBI will continue to help those with the potential to excel," he said during the contribution handover programme today.

Another RM22,000 went to nine athletes who excelled in taekwondo, archery, boxing, football and motorsports, while RM6,000 went to five recipients who excelled in academics, education, and empowerment, as well as for bereavement support.
"Every year, we will allocate RM1 million for the development of athletes and education, and MBI is always ready to realise the state government's aspiration to produce a successful young generation and create more success," Azri said.
