SHAH ALAM, Feb 18 — The Selangor Wakaf Corporation (PWS) distributed RM44,000 in funds to Masjid As-Salam in Puchong Perdana.
It said the contribution represents 33 per cent of the wakaf fund collected at the mosque.
“The proceeds from this collection will be returned to the mosque for the installation of new carpets and a public address system.
“May this contribution benefit the congregation and serve as ongoing charity for the wakaf donors,” PWS said in a Facebook post yesterday.
The donation was presented by PWS' corporate division’s collection and distribution unit assistant executive Muhammad Hafizuddin Mohamad Sharil to the mosque representative Siddiq Fadzil Abdul Salim on Saturday (February 15).
In a related development, PWS has urged the public to continue making wakaf contributions more conveniently and efficiently through its website.
