SHAH ALAM, Feb 7 — Applications for the Higher Learning Institution Study Aid (HPIPT) Selangor, which offers RM1,000 to students from families with incomes under RM5,000, will open in March.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the incentive, with an allocation of RM3 million this year, is to help students further their studies to public (IPTA) and private (IPTS) higher learning institutions.
He said HPIPT Selangor is meant for youth in the state who pursue studies at IPTA and IPTS accredited to offer the Level 4 Skills Certificate, diplomas, and bachelor’s programmes.
“This year, the fund allocated is RM3 million. Last year, 3,000 Selangor youth were given the incentive, which greatly helped them make better preparations for university,” he said on Facebook.
More information is available on the official website.
Amirudin, when tabling the 2025 Selangor State Budget, announced that RM3 million has been allocated for HPIPT Selangor to spur university students to reach for success.
