KUALA LANGAT, Jan 20 — Tourism Selangor has asked industry players to collaborate in promoting the state for Visit Selangor Year 2025.

Its chief executive officer Chua Yee Ling said the state tourism promotion agency is offering grants to associations and communities to support efforts to achieve the target of eight million tourists in Selangor this year.

“The Jenjarom Cultural Association has successfully secured a RM10,000 tourism industry grant from Tourism Selangor as part of the first phase of support.

“We hope this grant will inspire more associations and communities to collaborate with Tourism Selangor to develop tourism in the state,” she said.

Chua said this during the Chinese New Year celebration in Kampung Bahagia, Jenjarom, here last week.

In November, state executive councillor for local government and tourism Dato’ Ng Suee Lim announced the state government had approved RM200,000 in tourism grants for industry players to develop new products in conjunction with Visit Selangor Year 2025.

Ng said 20 industry players have been chosen as recipients to introduce new products and promote Selangor’s attractions.
