SHAH ALAM, April 21 — The houses of worship affected by the severe flooding in December last year have become the scenes of the Senandung Aidilfitri programme organised by the state government, which is expected to air on the second day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Its production director Adon Dagok said the places of worship include Surau al-Munir Taman in Sri Nanding, Hulu Langat and Masjid Taman Sri Muda in Section 25, Shah Alam.
"Another filming location is Masjid Diraja Sultan Alaeddin in Kuala Langat. There Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari led the Takbir call. Interestingly the village residents also joined in.
"We used three mosques so the recording will see the Takbir being called out in three locations, mirroring the unity of the leaders and the people. Simultaneously it also raises the spirit after having gone through many trials and tribulations," he told SelangorKini on Tuesday (April 19)
Adon added the programme, as with last year, will use drones to film the Takbir call for Aidilfitri.
"The difference is the drones this year were flown around in the interiors of the mosques. We used professional drone handlers. Don't believe it? Watch it later," he said.
The programme will be aired on the selangortv.my portal and social media. Senandung Aidilfitri was first broadcasted last year during the ban on travelling back to hometowns as a result of the Movement Control Order.
