SHAH ALAM, May 11 — The Senandung Aidilfitri programme which was uploaded on the SelangorTV YouTube channel has recorded 51,236 views since it was first aired on the second day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
State executive councillor for culture and heritage Borhan Aman Shah said he is confident the number will increase as most of the people have resumed work after a long Aidilfitri holiday.
“I am confident that the number will increase because many people went back to their hometowns and spent time with their families, so they do not have time to watch the video yet on YouTube.
“After this, I am confident more people will watch the Senandung Aidilfitri programme during their free time,” he told SelangorKini.
Commenting on the winners of the show’s quizzes, Borhan has congratulated those who are lucky and urged them to immediately submit their details to facilitate the distribution of prizes.
“Congratulations to all 40 winners and I hope you could immediately submit your details to receive the ‘duit raya’. Meanwhile, for those who were not chosen, do not lose hope and try again next year,” he said.
Each winner is required to submit their full names, Facebook accounts, categories they have won, identification numbers, phone numbers, bank account numbers and name of the bank via email to senandungselangor@gmail.com before May 15.
Shown on the selangortv.my portal and Media Selangor’s Facebook page, this year’s Senandung Aidilfitri featured notable artists that included Ziana Zain, Sissy Imann, Elyana Emrizal and Roy Alwi.
Several sketches were also performed by Raja Azura, Bell Ngasri dan Azlee Senario, two of which centred on the severe floods that struck Selangor at the end of last year.
The programme was first introduced last year on the same platform, during the movement control order that prohibited interstate travel or balik kampung to people’s hometowns during Aidilfitri.
