SHAH ALAM, March 1 — A total of 12,805 or 89.6 per cent of the 14,291 public complaints lodged to the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) last year were successfully resolved by the local council.

The top five complaints involved pruning or felling of trees, street lights, public obstructions or footpaths and parking spaces, damage to small drains and stray dogs.

“We are committed to resolving the complaints we received. Therefore, the initiative we made is that the client charter of each department is regularly reviewed and revised,” said the MBPJ Corporate Communications Unit in a statement.
