SHAH ALAM, Nov 2 — Sentosa state assemblyman Gunaraj George donated 150 Deepavali food packs to 150 Indian frontliners in conjunction with the Deepavali festival this Thursday.

The food packs worth RM50 each contained traditional desserts and juices, and were distributed to frontliners stationed at the Klang Selatan Police Headquarters, Andalas Fire and Rescue Station, as well as Klang District Health Office.

Gunarajah said the distribution was a gesture of appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices made by frontliners in battling Covid-19.

“In fact, I was told that some of them are not able to visit their hometowns to celebrate Deepavali due to the nature of their jobs.

“Hopefully, the donation will bring some smiles to them,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini yesterday.
