SHAH ALAM, March 27 — The new number of positive Covid-19 cases in Selangor has dropped as of noon yesterday with 36 cases in comparison to the recent spike of 75 cases on Thursday.
However, another death was reported in the state, bringing the total death toll in Selangor to three.
Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari had urged the public to continuously abide by the movement control order until April 14.
“... we have to make sure we adhere to the order and give full cooperation to the authorities. We will succeed,” he said on his official Twitter account, last night.
Selangor has recorded a total 546 cases, highest among other states in Malaysia, followed by Kuala Lumpur (337), Johor (259), Sabah (182), Perak (159) and Negeri Sembilan (138).
The Health Ministry had recorded 130 new Covid-19 cases as of noon yesterday, bringing the total number to 2,161.
The death toll has risen to 26.
A total of 54 patients are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), with a total of 259 patients that have fully recovered and discharged from the hospital.
