KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim congratulated and thanked staff, organisers, volunteers and motorsports fans for making the 2026 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix (GP), which concluded yesterday at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), a success.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Anwar described this year's edition as thrilling and vibrant, featuring fierce competition among the world's top riders and memorable moments throughout the event.
"Congratulations to all the winners and participating riders. My thanks also go to all personnel, organisers, volunteers and fans for their efforts and support in making the event a success.
"May the excitement and spirit of motorsports such as MotoGP continue to inspire more young people to fly the Malaysian flag high! See you again at Sepang," he said.

The prime minister also said he met with MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group chief executive officer Carmelo Ezpeleta to exchange views on the sport's development and its potential to enhance Malaysia's international standing.
"We also walked around the circuit, greeting several riders and personnel who worked tirelessly to ensure this edition of MotoGP ran smoothly and was a vibrant event," he said.
Anwar said that beyond the racing action at Sepang, the event should be leveraged to generate wider economic benefits, including boosting tourism, creating business opportunities and stimulating the local economy.
"This ultimately brings Malaysia closer to motorsports fans around the globe," he added.
