KRUBONG, Oct 25 — Pakatan Harapan (HARAPAN) is fielding 21 candidates for the 16th Melaka State Election.
Among those announced as candidates is the Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Azman Abidin, who will contest the Paya Rumput state constituency seat.
Azman is expected to face a PAS candidate, whose identity has yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Melaka HARAPAN chairman Adly Zahari will defend the Bukit Katil state seat, which he has held since 2018.
Of the 21 seats being contested by HARAPAN, nine have been allocated to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KEADILAN), seven to the DAP, and five to Parti Amanah Negara (AMANAH).
HARAPAN chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced the candidate list at an event at Hang Jebat Stadium, Krubong last night.
Also present were HARAPAN Election Director Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, HARAPAN Deputy Chairman Anthony Loke, and AMANAH President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.
