KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 — A technical team said it is performing recovery and improvements to the TuJu navigation app, targeted to be done by November.
TuJu management in a statement today said updates will be provided on its official channels while other app features remain functional.
It also apologised to users.
“We take the difficulties experienced seriously and appreciate the feedback and criticism from users regarding our service.
“Our priority is to ensure the navigation function operates stably and smoothly again, and meets the travel needs of users,” read the statement.
It said it is grateful for users’ patience and support, as every report and feedback helps them identify issues and implement necessary improvements.
“We will continue to strive to meet user expectations so TuJu becomes one of the best navigation apps prioritising the safety of Malaysians’ data,” it said.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim previously encouraged the public to use TuJu, which is handled by the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), as an alternative to Israel-developed Waze.
TuJu was proposed for Malaysians’ use following data security risks with Waze, which Anwar said is bound by Israeli laws.
