KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — This year’s Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) has generated about RM3.7 billion in potential transaction value in its first three days, said Invest Selangor Bhd chief executive officer Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris, reflecting growing business in the state.

He said the event, which has drawn 45,050 visitors, also facilitated trade enquiries, cross-border networking, and collaboration opportunities across various industries.

“I am delighted to share that as of today, SIBS 2026 has delivered commendable results, recording a strong turnout of 45,050 visitors and generating an estimated RM3.7 billion in potential transactions value over the three-day event,” he said at the SIBS appreciation dinner, held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today.

Hasan said SIBS’ success goes beyond visitor numbers and potential transaction value, highlighting the long-term business relationships, strategic deals, and trust established among participants.

“That is the true spirit of SIBS: bringing people together to spark innovation and drive sustainable regional growth,” he added.

Hasan also said Invest Selangor would keep promoting high-impact industries, digital transformation and cross-border partnerships in line with the state’s development direction under the Second Selangor Plan (RS-2).

He added that Selangor’s strategic location, advanced infrastructure, resilient supply chains, diverse talent pool, and business-friendly government would continue to support companies seeking to expand to the ASEAN market.

Hasan also thanked the Selangor government, SIBS partners, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, investors and organisers for their contribution to the 10th SIBS.

SIBS, organised by Invest Selangor, is being held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre until tomorrow. It gathers local and international businesses, investors and industry players to explore investment opportunities, strengthen business partnerships, and promote Selangor as a regional investment destination.
