SINGAPORE, Oct 14 — Firefly has further extended the cancellation of flights between Subang and Singapore until Friday (October 16) as haze conditions worsen in the city-state.
Singapore’s air quality continued to deteriorate today, with the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) ranging from 127 to 203 as of 9pm, as the National Environment Agency (NEA) said that readings above 200 fall into the "very unhealthy" category
The wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines had earlier cancelled all scheduled flights between the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang and Seletar Airport from Saturday (October 10) to today as a precautionary safety measure.
The extended cancellations involves six daily services: FY3122 and FY3123, FY3124 and FY3125, FY3126 and FY3127, FY3128 and FY3129, FY3130 and FY3131, as well as FY3132 and FY3133.
“Affected passengers are being contacted and reallocated onto available Malaysia Airlines services via the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore route, subject to seat availability.
“Passengers who opt not to proceed with the reallocated flights are eligible for a full refund, which will be credited back to the original payment method within 30 working days,” Firefly said in an advisory today.
