SHAH ALAM, Oct 13 — Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is investigating an incident in which a man drove his car onto railway tracks at the KTMB station along Jalan Limbungan on Sunday (October 11).

South Klang police chief ACP Lim Jit Huey said the incident occurred at 11.40pm when the 60-year-old local man was travelling home from Kuala Lumpur.

“The man drove onto the railway tracks and travelled about 130m before reaching the station. KTMB managed to remove the car from the area at 1.40am,” he said in a statement today.

Lim added that KTMB is investigating the case under Section 62 of the Railways Act 1991.

Earlier, a video showing a sport utility vehicle on the railway tracks at a train station went viral on social media, accompanied by claims that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
