KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 — The upgrading project for the new block of the Emergency and Trauma Department at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) is now in its final implementation phase.
Its management said that several issues require repair and improvement work during the inspection and completion process before the facility can be fully completed.
"The related work is being given attention and priority, with a resolution expected to be implemented by the end of 2026," HKL said in a statement today.
It added that it is committed to ensuring that all repair work is carried out properly to meet the facility's safety, functional, and quality requirements before the project is finalised.
The HKL Emergency and Trauma Department will continue operating and delivering health services as usual during this period.
HKL also appreciates the public's cooperation, patience, and understanding throughout the upgrading works and apologises for any difficulties that may arise.
