PUTRAJAYA, Sept 25 — Two individuals being investigated over alleged misappropriation involving the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) project linked to FELDA will be charged next week, said Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman.
The duo include a former FELDA general manager and a former chief executive officer of the Felda Investment Committee, also known as Felda Investment Commission.
"The Attorney-General has given consent to charge the two individuals involved. The former FELDA general manager will face one charge under Section 420, and the charge will be registered in court on September 30.
"The other individual, the former chief executive officer of (the) Felda Investment Committee or Commission, will face two charges under Section 417, and the charges will be brought on September 29," he said during a media conference after the Fifth National Governance, Integrity, and Anti-Corruption Research Conference closing ceremony today.
The KLVC investigation is among seven investigation papers involving FELDA and FELDA Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC), comprising six new investigation papers and one previous investigation.
The investigations focus on asset purchases and investments by FELDA and FIC between 2010 and 2020, which are suspected to involve elements of corruption, misappropriation and abuse of power.
