SHAH ALAM, Sept 25 — Authorities issued one compound, a warning notice and 15 summonses to heavy vehicles for various traffic-related offences during a joint enforcement operation in Bestari Jaya and Bukit Badong, Kuala Selangor, yesterday.
In a Facebook post, the Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) said the operation was conducted in collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Road Transport Department (JPJ), involving 18 personnel.
“As a result of the operation, the MPKS Enforcement Department issued one compound for the offence of bringing a motor vehicle exceeding two metric tonnes into a residential area, as well as one warning notice requiring the vehicle to be removed,” it said today.
MPKS said the Kuala Selangor district police headquarters issued one summons for obstructing traffic, while Kuala Selangor JPJ issued 14 summonses for offences including obstructing traffic, parking in unauthorised areas and failing to display a warning triangle.
No vehicles were impounded during the operation.
MPKS said enforcement against heavy vehicles entering or parking in residential areas without authorisation or in prohibited locations would continue to ensure smooth traffic flow.
It added that action would be taken against offenders under the relevant by-laws.
