PUTRAJAYA, Sept 10 – Pakatan Harapan (HARAPAN) is currently evaluating various possibilities in the upcoming Melaka state election, including forming political cooperation which is yet to be finalised.
HARAPAN election director Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the political landscape is fluid as of now to make any decisions and that the state legislative assembly has not been dissolved.
“HARAPAN is ready to face any scenarios and will continue with our efforts to convince the people, but the real outcome will only be seen through the ballot papers made on polling day.
"We will try to convince the people because ultimately it is the ballot paper that will determine victory, not the noises made before the election," he said.
Amirudin who is also the Selangor Menteri Besar said this when met with reporters at the Budget 2027 engagement session at Le Meridien Hotel here, today.
He elaborated that there were informal discussions with top leaders from main political parties to review the best formula to face Melaka polls.
The current political landscape is becoming increasingly dynamic, Amirudin said, adding that it is no longer bound to the fixed political formula but instead a trial and error process to determine the best approach to face the election.
“All leaders are tested through elections and this is part of the political maturity process,” he added.
Amirudin also added that current political developments will continue to be monitored before HARAPAN determines the best approach to face the Melaka state election.
