SHAH ALAM, Sept 1 — An unidentified body was found in a drain along Jalan Industri 7 in Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh on August 29.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said that the police were notified by the public about the discovery of the body, believed to be a murder victim.
The Fire and Rescue Department was mobilised to help retrieve the body. Investigators found no identification documents on the deceased.
A post mortem examination at the Sungai Buloh Hospital revealed elements of crime on the victim’s body, prompting police to classify the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
"Preliminary checks revealed no identification documents on the deceased, and his identity has yet to be established.
"The deceased is a fair-skinned man, bald, standing about 170cm tall and weighing 50kg,” Hafiz said in a statement today.
He urged the public with relevant information or those with missing family members matching the description to contact the investigating officer, Asst Supt Mohd Reezal Mohammad @ Mohd Zain, at 013-3479809.
