KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 — A 13-year-old girl was found dead at a residence in Sungai Buloh on Wednesday (April 1).
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said police received information on the victim being found unconscious at 6.27pm.
A medical officer from the Sungai Buloh Hospital who arrived at the scene confirmed that the victim had died.
The body was later taken to the hospital’s Forensic Department for a post-mortem.
“Statements have been recorded from three witnesses, and further investigations are ongoing,” he said in a statement last night.
Hafiz added that the police have opened an investigation paper under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 for alleged abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exposure of a child in a manner likely to cause physical or emotional injury.
