SHAH ALAM, Aug 26 — The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) has welcomed the direction outlined in the Second Selangor Plan (RS-2) 2026-2030, which it believes could strengthen Hulu Selangor’s development as a transport manufacturing hub.
MPHS said the development policies outlined in the five-year plan align with the district’s efforts to strengthen its industrial and manufacturing sectors, as well as transport-related supply chains.
According to the local authority, the direction of RS-2 is also in line with the development aspirations and strategies outlined in the Hulu Selangor District Local Plan 2035.
The alignment is expected to strengthen Hulu Selangor’s position as one of the state’s strategic areas, particularly in supporting the growth of the manufacturing sector and its related industrial ecosystem.
MPHS president Julaihah Jamaludin previously attended the launch of RS-2 2026-2030 in Shah Alam, which was officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
RS-2 was introduced as the state government’s main strategic framework to guide Selangor’s development planning and implementation over the next five years.
The plan places emphasis on economic growth, sustainability, greater competitiveness and the people’s well-being in charting the state’s development through 2030.
