SEPANG, Aug 22 — The special Unit of the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) Enforcement Department impounded 21 abandoned vehicles during an enforcement operation around Persiaran Multimedia today.

Its officers took action against eight motorcycles and 13 bicycles found left unattended, which were obstructing pedestrian walkways in the area.

MPSepang emphasised that this measure was taken following continuous monitoring to ensure the Cyberjaya urban environment remains safe, orderly, and free from obstructions.

“The enforcement and seizure actions were carried out in accordance with legal provisions, specifically Section 46(1)(a), addressing issues such as the parking of motorcycles on walkways, which causes obstructions in public areas,” it said in a Facebook post.

The local authority urged road users and local residents to act responsibly and comply with established regulations.

“MPSepang advises the public not to leave motorcycles, bicycles, or any other items in public areas where they could cause a nuisance, obstruct pathways, or compromise public safety and order,” said MPSepang.
