
SHAH ALAM, Aug 17 — Selangor settled for silver in the Malaysian Games (SUKMA) men’s water polo after an intense match with Sarawak at Selangor Aquatic here today, with a 6-9 loss.
Ko Hyang Kwuaon’s boys got a bright start with a 2-1 lead in the opening quarter, but Sarawak responded strongly in the second quarter, turning the game around to lead 3-2 before extending its advantage to 5-4 in the third quarter.
Despite trailing behind, Selangor continued to push for a comeback and remained competitive until the final whistle.
But Sarawak held their ground to secure a 9-6 victory and claim gold, leaving Selangor with silver.
