SHAH ALAM, Aug 17 — The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) will make its debut at MAHA Go Global during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-tourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026, which will take place from August 28 to September 6.

PKPS group chief executive officer Datuk Wira Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi said participating will provide greater opportunities for Selangor’s agro-based products to enter international markets through direct business-to-business (B2B) sessions with industry players and trade representatives from other countries.

The platform will also allow PKPS to strengthen business ties with distributors, wholesalers, and major supermarket chains while exploring potential export markets.

“For the first time, PKPS has been invited to participate in MAHA Go Global at Hall A for direct B2B sessions with industry players from other countries.

“This gives us an opportunity to introduce Selangor’s agro-products to a wider market, while opening up opportunities for strategic distribution and bulk marketing collaborations,” he told Media Selangor.

Khairil added that PKPS will not only showcase Selangor’s agro-products but also highlight strategic initiatives related to the state’s food security agenda, including the Selangor Food Warehouse and Jualan Ehsan Rahmah.

“MAHA is also a platform for us to introduce the Ehsan brand, a variety of local fruits and products from PKPS laboratories through Agriculture of Excellence, such as stevia.

“Visitors will also have the opportunity to see a replica of the Selangor Fruit Valley village house porch, as well as a plot of rose onion crops cultivated in Selangor,” he said.

The expected arrival of millions of domestic and international visitors makes MAHA an important platform to increase the visibility and awareness of Selangor’s agro-products directly among consumers.

Simultaneously, the presence of buyers, industry players, and international trade representatives creates greater export opportunities for Selangor’s agricultural products to reach global markets.

“Overall, participation in MAHA not only provides an opportunity to promote products, but also serves as a catalyst for PKPS’ efforts to expand the market for Selangor’s agro-products, build strategic networks and, at the same time, support the national food security agenda,” Khairil said.
