KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 — The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) demolished 18 unauthorised structures built on public road reserves near the Jalan Rejang Open Morning Market in Setiawangsa yesterday.
It said the integrated operation was carried out in collaboration with the police, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd.
The demolition action was carried out under Section 46(1)(a) of the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974, while two seizure actions were conducted under Section 46(1)(d) of the same Act.
“DBKL will continue taking firm action against any construction of structures without approval on public road reserves to safeguard public safety and interest, while carrying out continuous monitoring and enforcement from time to time,” DBKL said in a Facebook post today.
The public can submit complaints or feedback through https://adukl.dbkl.gov.my/.
