KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, has decreed that the investigation into the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) Report on the Tabung Haji (TH) Board be carried out exhaustively.
In a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar's official Facebook page, the sovereign said that the move is important to ensure that all responsible parties are appropriately dealt with and to prevent the same thing from happening again.
Sultan Ibrahim also said that the investigation into the matter should be carried out comprehensively, without compromising on any party found guilty.
"No one should escape action if they are truly found guilty. Most importantly, things like this must not happen again," said His Majesty.
Earlier today, the King granted Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim an audience at Istana Bukit Tunku for a meeting that lasted more than an hour.
In the meeting, His Majesty was briefed on the contents of the TH RCI Report and on current issues involving the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA).
The RCI report, published last Wednesday (July 29), revealed several important findings regarding the institution's management and governance from 2014 to 2020.
A special sitting of the Dewan Rakyat will be held on Tuesday (August 11) to debate the report.
