BANGKOK, Aug 7 — A teacher was killed and four other people injured in a shooting at a school in Thailand, where the gunman — a student — has killed himself, police said today.
Those injured included three students, police said.
It was reported earlier that an unconfirmed number of people were killed after a student opened fire at a school north of Bangkok this morning.
Lt Col Pasakorn Chaitawiwong, head of the Plai Bang subdistrict police station, told Reuters the number of fatalities had yet to be confirmed.
The shooting occurred in Bang Kruai district, Nonthaburi province. Police identified the suspect as a student but did not immediately release further details.

Photographs circulated by emergency responders showed students evacuating Debsirin Nonthaburi School on the northwestern outskirts of Bangkok as ambulances arrived at the scene.
One image showed a person lying on a stretcher outside an ambulance, while another individual was being treated by a medic.
In February, a teacher was killed and a student injured after a gunman opened fire at a school in Hat Yai district in southern Thailand.
