SHAH ALAM, Aug 5 — Police are investigating an incident in which several vehicles parked outside the Kajang Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Station were sprayed with red paint by unknown individuals on Monday.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received a report at 8.29 pm on Monday from a 48-year-old local woman regarding the act of vandalism.
"The private-sector employee parked her Perodua Myvi outside the station's designated parking area at 6 am before taking the MRT to work.
"However, when she returned at about 6 pm, she discovered red paint had been sprayed on the right-side window of her vehicle," he said in a statement yesterday.
Naazron said further checks revealed that several other vehicles parked at the same location had also been sprayed with red paint.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief causing damage.
"Members of the public with information on the incident are urged to assist investigations by contacting the investigating officer, SM Norhafdzeli Ismail, at 010-375 5508.
