PHNOM PENH, July 31 — Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister cum Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Prak Sokhonn will make an official visit to Malaysia next week.
The visit is expected to inject fresh momentum into the robust partnership between the two countries.
The Cambodian Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry said that during the two-day visit starting on Monday (August 3), he will attend the 3rd Meeting of the Cambodia–Malaysia Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) in Kuala Lumpur.
It will comprehensively review progress in implementing the agreed minutes of the second JCBC and previously concluded bilateral agreements.
“The meeting will further outline concrete measures to deepen and broaden cooperation across multiple sectors, thereby injecting fresh momentum into the robust and multifaceted relations between Cambodia and Malaysia,” said the ministry in a statement today.
Sokhonn is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and also pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
