SHAH ALAM, July 23 — The body of a man was found floating in a former mining pool at Taman Tasik Rekreasi Tun Perak in Taman Jati, Batu 17, yesterday morning.
Gombak police chief Assistant Commissioner Ibrahim Husin said police received information regarding the discovery at about 7.45 am.
He said preliminary investigations found that the victim was a local Chinese man who was discovered floating on the surface of the lake.
“Checks at the scene found no signs of external injuries on the victim’s body,” he said in a statement today.
According to Ibrahim, the body was sent to Selayang Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
He said the case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR) pending the full post-mortem report.
Police have advised the public not to speculate on the incident to avoid disrupting investigations.
