Subang Jaya govt clinic on track for 2028 completion

SHAH ALAM, July 22 — Construction for Subang Jaya’s first government clinic is on track and is expected to be done by 2028, said Subang Jaya assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze.

She said piling works for the USJ 1 Health Clinic site are complete, with the building’s structural columns also in place.

“We are hoping that if all goes well, the project will be completed by 2028. As you know in construction, a lot of things are very dependent on material prices, and the global oil crisis has also affected things.

“It looks like things are on track. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see it completed by 2028,” she said in a post on X after a site visit yesterday.

According to the project information board, the construction of the clinic began on April 29, 2025, and is scheduled to be done by April 24, 2028.

The clinic will be located on Jalan Subang 3 in USJ 1, near SJKC Chee Wen. There are currently no government health facilities in Subang Jaya.

The project contractor is Atlantas Construction Sdn Bhd.

In October 2024, Ng and Subang MP Wong Chen said in a joint statement that the Type 2 clinic (KK2) on its 1.715ha site will cost RM52.64 million to build.

According to the Health Ministry (MOH) website, a KK2 offers outpatient treatment, maternity and paediatric care, dentistry, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging (X-ray), and laboratory services, and houses an emergency department and a pharmacy.

The clinic is set to cater to 500 to 800 patients per day.
