KLANG, July 21 — The Dana Plus digital loan management system has helped expedite financing processes, with applications for funds under RM10,000 approved within 48 hours, said Yayasan Hijrah Selangor chief business officer Nilammasri Jaafar.
She said the application, launched on January 1, 2025, is the main platform to manage micro-financing more transparently, efficiently, and quickly.
“This system is to provide microcredit financing for Selangor(-based) entrepreneurs, because we know micro-entrepreneurs face difficulties in getting financing access at banks or on more commercial platforms,” she said at the launch ceremony for the Dana Plus digital app at Wyndham Acmar Klang here today.
Nilammasri said Dana Plus would become the main platform for all of Hijrah Selangor’s micro-financing schemes in the future, including Dana Pantas and Dana Niaga Tani, which will be launched next month.

Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said Dana Plus can reduce human intervention in financing processes and ensure data is recorded more accurately and transparently.
He said this is in line with the state government’s efforts to strengthen the entrepreneur financing ecosystem with more systematic and effective service delivery.
“As of today, we have spent about RM250 million, and the spending value, or the value of loans channelled, is up to RM900 million.
“This is almost four times of what the state government has submitted, which means we can sustain this micro-loan system of ours even though there are still issues like defaulters and such,” he added.

Entrepreneur Mohd Firdaus Zawawi, 39, said it was easy to use Dana Plus as he didn’t have to visit a counter to apply for financing.
Firdaus, who runs an air-conditioner, electrical and self-serve machine business, said he received an approval in less than two days.
“The system is simple, even for people who aren’t IT-savvy like me, because it’s the same as online bank apps,” he said.
He added that the loan balance monitoring and repayment facility on the app also help entrepreneurs better manage their financing commitments.
He said auto debit also eases things for entrepreneurs.
“If we forget, it automatically (deducts), so our names don’t enter the CCRIS. Sometimes we are busy and don’t realise small things like that,” he added.
