PETALING JAYA, July 16 — Sea Park Apartments’ sewage tank issues will be addressed by replacing and upgrading the facility, said Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lim Yi Wei.
She said the project, under the state constituency’s small projects and Selangor Penayayang’s allocations, is among those of priority.
“Among the projects I hope can be approved is the replacement and upgrade of the sewage tank at Sea Park Apartments.
“This project will replace the existing sewage tank and hopefully we no longer have to do cleanup work and frequent flushing like we do now,” she said when met after the Safer School Streets project community engagement session at SMK Taman Sea here yesterday.

Lim added that her office is finalising the Bill of Quantities (BQ) after a site visit last month.
“We conducted a site visit last month, and this month we will finalise the BQ before the next step.
“For now, we only have to complete documentation,” she said.
She said the sewage tank is a private facility that should be managed by the apartment management, but complicated land ownership issues have left the housing area without a joint management body (JMB).
She explained that her office helps with maintaining the sewage system to ensure residents’ welfare.
She also said that while the issues are under control for now, there has been an incident where sewage overflowed into the streets in April.
“We appointed a contractor back then to clean up and pump out sewage,” Lim said.
