Air crash drill set for Denai Alam R&R, DASH users advised to cooperate

SHAH ALAM, July 13 — A full-scale aircraft accident simulation exercise will take place at the Denai Alam Rest and Service Area (R&R) on the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH) this Thursday (July 16), between 8am and 2pm.

Malaysia Airports said the Ex Urban Falcon 2026 drill is a collaboration with Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (PROLINTAS) and the Malaysian Information Department as part of the National Air Disaster Preparedness Programme 2026.

“This exercise is part of the National Air Disaster Preparedness Programme 2026, themed ‘Integrasi Perkasa, Aspirasi Nusa’, organised by Malaysia Airports in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency, the Selangor state government, and PROLINTAS-DASH.

“The air disaster exercise is designed to assess and test preparedness, coordination, and response capabilities in the event of an emergency.

“The programme also aims to assess the response capabilities of various security and emergency agencies involved,” it said in a statement.

DASH users and the public are urged to cooperate during the exercise if they encounter emergency vehicles, smoke, aircraft replicas, sirens or simulated activities near the Denai Alam R&R area, as these are part of the drill.

The public is also advised to comply with instructions from on-site personnel to ensure the smooth running of the exercise.
