SHAH ALAM, July 10 — A ground-floor unit at Pangsapuri Dahlia in Bukit Beruntung, Rawang, was about 90 per cent destroyed in a fire yesterday evening.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar said the department received an emergency call at 7.08 pm.
He said a team from the Bukit Sentosa Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by personnel from the Rawang Fire and Rescue Station, was immediately dispatched to the scene.
“The fire engines arrived at the location at 7.20 pm and found that the blaze involved a ground-floor apartment unit in a four-storey building measuring approximately 15 by 60 sq ft.
“The fire was brought under control at 7.43 pm, with the unit estimated to have suffered 90 per cent damage. No casualties were reported in the incident,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The firefighting operation involved 13 personnel and three fire engines, comprising a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle from the Bukit Sentosa Fire and Rescue Station, as well as an FRT from the Rawang Fire and Rescue Station.
Meanwhile, Ashrul Riezal said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
