SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — A fire broke out at a two-storey shoplot housing Aroma Ikan Bakar Kelip-Kelip in Bandar Baru Kuala Selangor on Sunday morning.
The Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue Station confirmed the incident, saying it received an emergency call at 9.35 am and arrived at the scene four minutes later.
The firefighting operation was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Azman Abdullah, supported by another PBK II officer and three firefighters.
Initial checks found that the fire involved an office on the first floor of the Class A building, measuring about 35 by 70 sq ft.
"About 25 per cent of the office space was affected by the fire. No casualties were reported," the station said in a Facebook post.
Firefighters used a 200-foot hose with one nozzle and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze, with water supplied from a fire hydrant.
The operation ended after the premises were declared safe and no further fire hazards were detected.
