SEREMBAN, July 1 — Negeri Sembilan Parti Keadilan Rakyat has submitted a list of names of prospective candidates for the 16 seats it will contest in the 16th state election to the central leadership for consideration.
Negeri Sembilan Keadilan chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the list includes at least three to five names per seat, comprising women, young candidates, and experienced contenders.
The state Pakatan Harapan chairman also expressed confidence that DAP and Parti Amanah in the state have likewise submitted their candidate lists to the central leadership for consideration.
"We have submitted (the list). We will coordinate with other Harapan candidates, namely DAP and Amanah, and we are looking for a suitable date to announce the candidates," he told the media after presenting a RM415,000 Orang Asli Village Activity Grant Incentive for Negeri Sembilan today.
On June 13, Aminuddin, who is also the Menteri Besar, said that the allocation of the 36 Negeri Sembilan state assembly seats sees Keadilan contesting 16 seats, DAP 11, and Amanah the remaining nine.
The Election Commission has set polling day for the Negeri Sembilan state election on August 1, with nomination day on July 18 and early voting on July 28.
