SHAH ALAM, July 1 — Two people escaped unhurt after their car veered off Jalan Hulu Langat and plunged into Sungai Langat near the Dusun Tua National Youth Skills Institute (IKBN) yesterday.
Kajang district police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the force received a report on the incident which occurred at 3.30am yesterday.
Naazron said the driver, 48, and passenger, 45, were traveling towards Johor.
He said the crash occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid an animal on the road, which caused the vehicle to plummet into the river.
“The driver and passenger escaped the vehicle through the left door and the sunroof of the vehicle without sustaining any injuries,” he said in a statement.
Naazron added that the crash only damaged the victim’s car, with no other cars or property involved.
“Police advise road users to drive with caution, comply with traffic rules, and be careful while driving,” he said.
