SHAH ALAM, June 29 — The Bukit Gasing state assemblyman's office has been widely praised after a post showcasing its wide range of community programmes went viral on Threads, highlighting its consistent efforts to organise activities tailored to the interests and needs of local residents.
Bukit Gasing state assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran said his office has consistently organised community programmes almost every month, taking into account the diverse interests and needs of residents to ensure that as many people as possible benefit from the initiatives.
“We organise programmes every month and try to diversify the activities because residents have a wide range of interests. We offer different types of programmes to reach and engage as many people as possible,” he told Media Selangor.
Past programmes have included smartphone classes for senior citizens, mobility workshops to raise awareness of the importance of staying active and healthy in later life, and Nagomi pastel art workshops that provide older adults with a creative outlet to express their emotions and reduce feelings of social isolation.
Rajiv added that the diverse range of programmes has enabled his constituency service centre to engage with a broader cross-section of residents from different backgrounds and age groups.
Earlier, a Threads post featuring the variety of community programmes organised by the Bukit Gasing state assemblyman's office attracted widespread attention and received numerous positive comments from social media users.
Many described the initiative as a proactive effort to address the needs of people across age groups while encouraging greater community participation through programmes closely aligned with everyday life.
