LEMBAH BERINGIN, June 25 — The Second Selangor Plan (RS-2) is expected to be tabled during the State Legislative Assembly sitting scheduled in August, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

Preparations have been completed, and the state government is awaiting the issuance of notices and confirmation of the sitting schedule.

“We will table it in August during the second State Legislative Assembly sitting, which has been finalised together with the schedule of the Assembly,” he told the media after attending the topping-out ceremony for the Chery Smart Auto Industrial Park today.

The First Selangor Plan (RS-1), introduced in 2022, served as the state’s five-year development blueprint to drive economic growth, improve social well-being, strengthen environmental sustainability, and enhance governance through 2025.

Building on the achievements and priorities outlined under RS-1, Amirudin said the state government is now set to introduce RS-2, which will chart the next phase of Selangor’s development with greater collaboration between the public and private sectors.

It will adopt a hybrid approach that combines state government programmes and projects with initiatives undertaken by government-linked companies and private sector players.

"The plan will incorporate development initiatives from both the public and private sectors to support Selangor’s future growth agenda.

“Under RS-2, we will combine a hybrid approach, not only government programmes, government projects and government-linked companies, but also private companies such as Chery and other companies that are prepared to join or map out their plans together with the state government,” he said.
