SHAH ALAM, June 19 — The state government is expanding its Selangor Advance programme with an additional RM100 million allocation to ease cash flow pressures faced by companies involved in state and district-level projects.
The initiative is among several measures under Phase Two of the Selangor Resilience Enhancement Package, announced by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today.
He said the initiative aims to support logistics and manufacturing companies affected by supply chain disruptions, rising costs, and limited resource availability following the West Asia conflict.
It will assist companies dealing with projects at the state, district, and local authority levels by providing faster access to payments through existing invoices.
“Among the challenges faced by companies in the logistics and manufacturing sectors when dealing with supply chain crises are rising costs due to supply disruptions and limited sources of goods.
“Therefore, the state government will expand the Selangor Advance programme with an allocation of RM100 million to assist the cash flow of companies involved in state or district infrastructure projects, including those under local authorities,” Amirudin said during the State Legislative Assembly special sitting today.
He noted that the additional RM100 million allocation is expected to benefit about 500 companies and contractors operating in Selangor.
Since its introduction during the COVID-19 pandemic, Selangor Advance has benefited 1,398 companies by accelerating payment processes through existing invoices and improving business transactions between companies.
