SHAH ALAM, June 18 — City transformation plays a crucial role in ensuring Selangor continues to progress as a developed, competitive, and sustainable state capable of meeting the needs of future generations.
In line with this vision, the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), through the Shah Alam (SA) Sentral development, is set to establish a future-ready integrated township spanning approximately 145 acres (58.68 hectares) in Section 14, Shah Alam, with direct connectivity to the LRT3 Dato’ Menteri Station.
The development is designed to support the growth of a modern, vibrant city centre that is responsive to evolving lifestyles and the changing needs of urban communities.
SA Sentral will feature a mix of commercial spaces, community facilities, recreational areas, and public transport links within a complementary ecosystem. The integrated approach aims to enhance urban living standards while promoting balanced and sustainable growth.
Beyond strengthening Shah Alam’s role as a city centre, the project will focus on revitalising existing urban assets, improving public spaces, and enhancing connectivity between development zones and public transportation networks.
“SA Sentral is a manifestation of PKNS’ commitment to supporting Selangor’s long-term urban transformation agenda through sustainable, transit-oriented development that focuses on community well-being,” said SA Sentral chief executive officer (designate) Datuk Mohd Najib Ibrahim.
He added that SA Sentral is more than just a physical development, serving instead as a platform to help shape the future of Shah Alam as a more competitive, sustainable, and resilient city prepared to face the challenges of urbanisation in the years ahead.
