SHAH ALAM, June 15 — Riding on the excitement of the global football season, the 'Go Healthy with Taiwan' Football Carnival, driven by Taiwan Excellence, successfully brought together more than 150 participants from community groups, sports organisations and social associations at Sportizza Shah Alam yesterday, promoting healthy lifestyles through sports, innovation, and community engagement.
Organised as part of the 'Go Healthy with Taiwan' initiative, and inspired by the spirit of the FIFA World Cup, the carnival featured nine football fun challenge stations, including shooting, dribbling, juggling and precision-kick games. Participants of all ages had the opportunity to test their skills while embracing the message that sports and healthy living go hand in hand.
The event received strong support from various Malaysian organisations and community groups, including Lerak FC, Pendowo Limo Muaythai, Women Social Futsal and Football Malaysia, as well as several non-profit organisations dedicated to community welfare and social development.
One of the highlights of the day was a friendly futsal match between Taiwan Excellence mascot FuBear and Malaysia’s iconic Harimau mascot.
The lively showdown was further elevated by the presence of Batu Tiga state assemblyman Danial Al Rashid Haron, Malaysian football legend Indra Putra, and renowned football influencer Coach Dom. Their fun interactions, together with the mascots' antics, drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd, sending the festive atmosphere at the venue to a roaring high.
Visitors also explored a Taiwan Innovation Experience Zone featuring a range of Taiwanese health and lifestyle solutions. Participating brands included Johnson Fitness’s high-performance exercise equipment, Biogend’s innovative RevoCart regeneration technology for knee joint repair, Acerpure’s smart air purifiers, and Footer’s advanced functional socks.

The showcase demonstrated Taiwan’s strengths in health technology, sports innovation and wellness-focused living.
The organiser expressed that the carnival was designed to encourage greater public participation in healthy lifestyle activities while showcasing how technology and innovation can contribute to healthier communities.
“Sports have the power to bring people together, inspire healthier habits and strengthen communities. Through Go Healthy with Taiwan, we hope to encourage more people to explore innovative ideas and solutions that can improve quality of life,” the organiser said.
To add excitement to the event, participants also stood a chance to win a range of prizes, including two return air tickets between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei, Touch 'N Go e-vouchers, Footer functional socks, and exclusive Taiwan Excellence merchandise.
The 'Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026' Global Proposal Campaign is currently open for submissions until August 5. Government agencies, businesses, institutions, academic organisations and non-profit organisations across Malaysia are invited to submit innovative and practical health-related solutions that can create meaningful impact in their communities.
The top three winning teams will each receive a US$30,000 (RM121,422) cash prize and gain opportunities to collaborate with leading Taiwanese companies and innovative technologies, fostering healthier and more sustainable communities for the future.
